Sport and play are not just about happiness

Autumn is crisp and clear, it's time to go outside and enjoy some exercise and fun!
Thanks to the sponsorship of the Wan Chai District Council, the Community Building and Housing Affairs Committee of the Wan Chai District Council will co-host a community event named "Positive Energy Family Parent-Child Grass Sports Day" at the Happy Valley Racecourse on 12 January 2019 (Saturday). The aim is to promote a close family atmosphere and culture, providing encouragement for families in the Wan Chai District. Through this event, it is hoped that children living in the city can also face challenges through sports, learn to use their bodies to complete tasks, thereby enhancing their confidence and sense of achievement, cultivating their courage to face new experiences, and allowing them to better experience their own physical sensations.
The event on the day is rich in activities, allowing parents and children to experience inflatable game facilities at the Happy Valley Sports Ground, engage in various competitive games, and work together to complete tasks, thereby enhancing their parent-child relationship. They can also participate in sports challenge stations to test their lower back and thigh flexibility, upper body muscle endurance, and abdominal muscle endurance, or attempt challenges such as standing on one leg, walking in a straight line, standing on a chair, and balancing on one leg within a specified time. Parents can gain a better understanding of their children's balance during the activities, learning more about their growth. The toy park also provides a variety of play facilities for younger children, helping to enhance their sensory integration abilities, including visual, tactile, vestibular balance, and proprioceptive senses, enabling them to effectively interact with their environment using their bodies.
