Activities Guidelines
Registration
- Participants must be residents of Hong Kong.
- In-person registration: After completing the registration form, you may visit the reception of our centre during office hours to make payment in cash or by cheque (cheque payable to: St. James' Settlement)
- Mail registration: Please return the completed registration form along with a crossed cheque to our centre no later than 7 days before the event (Cheque payable to: St. James' Settlement)
- Individuals registering for the event can sign up to become a member of our centre before the event registration, allowing them to register for the event at the member price.
- Members receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance who register to participate in activities can enjoy a 50% discount (except for activities specifically stated otherwise).
- The activities are on a first-come, first-served basis, and will close once full (except for the registration of the first round of signature activities and those specifically noted).
- Registered individuals are not allowed to transfer their places to others.
- Only one family can register at a time
Notice on Rescheduling, Cancellation and Refund Procedures
- If any group or activity is cancelled, our centre will arrange for a refund to the registered participants. If some sessions of the group have already taken place, the refund will be arranged on a pro-rata basis.
- If the group and activities need to be rescheduled, our centre will notify the registrants of the arrangements as soon as possible. If a registrant indicates after receiving the notification that they are unable to attend the event due to the rescheduling, our centre will arrange a refund for that registrant.
- Participants who are absent from the event for personal reasons will not be eligible for a refund.
- In all cases of refunds, our centre staff will contact the registrants as soon as possible; please bring the original event receipt back to the centre to claim your refund within three months from the date of the event. Late claims will not be accepted.
- Refund method: This centre only offers cash refunds

If adverse weather conditions occur, the measures taken by our centre differ from those of the Education Bureau and the Social Welfare Department. Please do not consider those announcements as arrangements made by our centre; please refer to the latest notice from our centre for guidance.

個人資料聲明
- I agree and understand “Collection and Handling of Personal Data” policy of the center.
- All information submitted will be handled in confidential and will only be accessed by related staff. If necessary, it will be used for program contact, and disclosed to Social Welfare Department for audit. Applicants can request access to or correction of these personal data. The data will be deleted 3 years after program completion.
- I agree that the center can update the member registration record according to the information filled in this form.
- I / my child understand and correctly fill in the program registration form, my child is suitable to join the activity.
- During the course of activity, be punctual at the gathering place. Late comers will not be served.
- Follow the instructions of social workers / instructors / volunteers, otherwise participants could be disqualified.
- Fully understand the risks of the activity and be responsible for property loss and injury if any.
- I will be responsible for any property loss or injury arises resulted from my personal faults, negligence, sickness or disregard of instructions.

Apply Membership
Individual Member
- Must be a Hong Kong resident aged 18 or above
- Submit original or copy of identification documents [Hong Kong Identity Card/Birth Certificate or other identification documents]
- Complete the membership registration form and visit our centre in person to process it.
Family Member
- The main applicant must be a Hong Kong resident aged 18 or over, namely a parent or spouse.
- Children under 18 must apply to become family members through their parents.
- Present original or copies of all individuals wishing to apply for membership; identification documents, children's birth certificates
- Complete the membership registration form and visit our centre in person to process it.
✽ To borrow centre resources (books, computers) as scheduled, the applicant must present original proof of address (in the applicant's name, with utility bills for electricity, water, or gas from the last 3 months).
✽ Service users have the right to withdraw from membership and can notify the centre of their decision to withdraw either in person or by phone.
Member Benefits
- Members (only those who have submitted proof of address) can borrow resources from this centre, including: family education books (a deposit must be paid each time).
- Borrowing a computer
- Participate in activities at this centre at a member discount price
- Our centre will mail the centre newsletter to members each season.
